Who we are

The NSW Ombudsman's Office – led by the NSW Ombudsman – is an independent and impartial integrity agency. We watch over most NSW public sector agencies and some community service providers. We help to ensure these organisations and their staff do their jobs properly and meet their responsibilities to the community.

We are accountable to the people of NSW for our work. A parliamentary committee scrutinises our work and reviews our performance. To learn more, see Committee on the Ombudsman.

To learn more about our work, see What we do.

NSW Ombudsman

Our current NSW Ombudsman is Paul Miller. The Ombudsman is supported by our executive team. This includes our Chief Deputy Ombudsman and Chief Operating Officer.
