The NSW Ombudsman is hosting the 2nd annual PID Awareness Week from 11 to 15 August. This is an event we started with the commencement of the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 (PID Act) and is an important way in which we raise awareness of the PID Act across the NSW public sector.
This year’s PID Awareness Week will be explored through live presentations and panel discussion, both available in person and online, and will discuss the importance of creating and embedding a speak up culture across the public sector. It will look at the benefits this has to government, and therefore the services they provide to the citizens of NSW. We will be hearing from a range of senior public servants across a number of agencies and organisations, sharing their knowledge and experiences, exploring the importance of creating and embedding, and how to create and embed a healthy speak up culture, both within an organisation and across the public sector.
Hear about what has been learnt from the last 18 months and some insights from the annual returns received. Learn more about whistleblower support and trauma informed practices to avoid psychological injury in a speak up culture.
For more information and to register your interest in attending a session please visit PID Awareness Week 2025.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and pay our respects to all Elders past and present, and to the children of today who are the Elders of the future.
