Agreements with agencies
We have information sharing and complaint referral agreements with the following agencies:
- Anti-Discrimination Board – Memorandum of understanding between NSW Ombudsman and the President of the Anti-Discrimination Board
- Audit Office of NSW – Memorandum of understanding between the NSW Ombudsman and Audit Office of NSW
- Energy and Water Ombudsman NSW – Memorandum of understanding with NSW Ombudsman and Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW
- Health Care Complaints Commissioner – Information sharing and Complaint referral Memorandum of Understanding between NSW Ombudsman and Health Care Complaints Commission
- NSW Information Commissioner – Memorandum of understanding between NSW Ombudsman and the NSW Information Commissioner
- Inspector of Custodial Services – Memorandum of understanding between the Inspector of Custodial Services and NSW Ombudsman
- Legal Services Commissioner – Information sharing and complaint referral Memorandum of Understanding, Legal Services Commissioner and NSW Ombudsman
- Office of Local Government – Memorandum of understanding between NSW Ombudsman and the Office of Local Government
- NSW Privacy Commissioner – Information sharing and complaint referral arrangement with NSW Privacy Commissioner
While these agreements provide for the referral of complaints received by the Ombudsman to other agencies, this can only be done with the consent of the complainant.
