Summary

Terrorism (Police Powers) Act 2002 gives special powers to police and other agencies to deal with suspected terrorist acts. The Act requires that the Ombudsman keeps under scrutiny the exercise of preventative detention and covert search warrant powers and report to Parliament every three years. This is our third report and covers the period 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2013.
