The NSW Ombudsman’s Casebook July 2025: Investigations and complaint-handling case studies (“Casebook”) was tabled today in NSW Parliament. The report provides a glimpse into the thousands of complaints the Ombudsman receives each year, and some of the positive outcomes achieved.
In January 2025, the NSW Ombudsman tabled our latest OCHRE report in Parliament. As part of our recommendations, we asked the NSW Government to provide a response to the report and all of the recommendations within 3 months of tabling.
The NSW Ombudsman is hosting the 2nd annual PID Awareness Week from 11 to 15 August.
A special report by the NSW Ombudsman has recommended that Government agencies be formally reminded that they are not to block individuals from making a report or complaint to NSW integrity bodies.
As part of our 50-year anniversary celebrations, we are showcasing five decades of our significant contributions to public administration in a free exhibition NSW Ombudsman – 50 years of pursuing fairness for NSW, running from 1–31 July at NSW Parliament’s Fountain Court.
This year marks 50 years since the establishment of the NSW Ombudsman.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and pay our respects to all Elders past and present, and to the children of today who are the Elders of the future.
