Speak up training

Speak Up is a free training workshop that encourages people with disability to speak up when they would like change in their lives, or when something is not right. This training includes short videos aimed at preventing the abuse and neglect of people with disability.

We have commenced co-delivering the training with people with disability. So far we have worked with two people with disability – Leigh Creighton and Tara Elliffe to deliver the training.

Who should attend

People with disability, staff, and family members or other carers/advocates.

This workshop runs for 2.5 hours.

This workshop is available free of charge. While we prefer to deliver the training to small groups of people with disability (ie. 5-10 people with disability), we can deliver the training to larger groups if that is preferable. Staff are encouraged to attend.
