Ombudsman tabled 2015-16 Annual Report

The Acting Ombudsman, Professor John McMillan tabled his 2015-16 Annual Report in Parliament today. The report showcases how our interactions with individuals and with the public, private and community sectors help build strong administrative safeguards in the community.
In 2015-2016 we received a total of 41,535 new matters (30,177 informal and 11,358 formal) which is an increase from the previous year. We finalised 10,807 formal matters, visited 35 communities in NSW and spent 94 days visiting adult and juvenile justice centres.
