Child protection policy development

Workshop outline:

This workshop is for staff who are responsible for developing or reviewing their agency’s child protection policy.

The workshop covers:

• a brief overview of the Ombudsman’s role in child protection, the responsibilities of heads of agencies, reportable conduct and agency investigations
• developing policies and procedures that focus on preventing and responding to reportable allegations and convictions
• complying with Part 3A of the Ombudsman Act.
