This page is designed to help you determine whether NSW Ombudsman is the right agency for you to approach in your bid to try to resolve your complaint. The NSW Ombudsman deals with complaints about NSW agencies or their employees. These agencies include government departments, statutory authorities and some non-government agencies.
There are other complaint handling bodies that deal with various problems you may have with a government or non-government agency.

You can complain to us if you have made a complaint to a NSW agency and are dissatisfied with the way it was handled. We deal with complaints about NSW agencies such as government departments, councils, correctional centres, juvenile justice centres, police, public schools, universities, TAFE colleges, area health services, child care centres, community services providers and organisations that provide residential care services.
