Deal with complaints

We deal with complaints about NSW public sector agencies including councils, government departments, correctional centres and universities.

We also deal with:

• reportable allegations against employees of designated agencies and other public authorities, and complaints about how such allegations were handled by the agency concerned
• complaints about the provision, failure to provide, withdrawal, variation or administration of a community service
• complaints about how agencies have handled freedom of information applications and the merits of their decisions
• complaints about police officers and complaints about the way such complaints are investigated by police
• protected disclosures from public sector staff and officials about maladministration
• complaints from participants in the witness protection program.
